NBU to Hold Online Workshop Monetary Policy in Emerging Markets: Crafting Integrated Solutions on 4 December 2024

On 4 December, the NBU will host an online workshop Monetary Policy in Emerging Markets: Crafting Integrated Solutions Emerging Markets.
The event will bring together leading economists from the International Monetary Fund, the European Central Bank, the central banks of Ukraine, Poland, Georgia, Chile, and the Dominican Republic, as well as representatives of the academic community and think tanks from Germany, Austria, and the Czech Republic.
This year’s workshop will focus on the practical experience of central banks and insights of research on using a mix of central bank instruments to attain macrofinancial stability.
Participants of the event will explore how central banks in emerging markets can adjust their approaches and integrate their own policy tools to achieve their goals while retaining credibility and independence.
The event’s keynote speakers, Marcin Kolasa and Jesper Linde from the International Monetary Fund, will deliver a lecture A Quantitative Model for the Integrated Policy Framework.
The workshop will also cover the practical aspects of incorporating an integrated approach in core macroeconomic forecasting and analysis models.
A special session will be dedicated to the presentation and discussion of the IMF"s extended Quarterly Projection Model at a panel with leading industry experts.
